If you're moved the files on the hard drive, the clips that are in the Timeline and in the Media Pool should show up as "Media Offline". If you have launched Resolve after you have the iMac acting as a second screen, and the Dual Screen menus are grayed out, then apparently Resolve does not think that's an actual second screen.
